Everton January 2022 Transfer Thread

Demari Gray, young lad highly touted, then from 20-25 did absolutely nothing had his desire and attitude questioned then came here and similar stuff to the tripe you just spouted was being said about a player who'd never produced at the level Ali has.
Per reports i've seen Gray makes about half of Alli's weekly wages. Came at 1.8 million a number I expect even with the hit on Alli's evaluation will not be his transfer fee.

Your right that signing came with risks as well, the difference though was the value proposition in doing so. No one scoffed at the deal based on our market restrictions, his wages likely sitting in the bottom half of our squad and the price he was garnered for. Factors that will make him more a value upon either extending or being sold for a profit.

Listen Alli's transfer fee will be a key variable for placing that comparison, or being wise but it wont come at that low of an investment. Its fair to say it might still come at low risk and not at the Michael Keane, Andre Gomes price point either to be fair whose age and past club affiliation are partially comparable. I guess I would prefer other options.

Not massively convinced with Ali. Have said it before that he's not the answer. However, given our current midfield options, if Lampard thinks he can get something out of him then he's probably worth a shot at the deal that's being mentioned.

I don’t mind dvb and like the upside of alli but aren’t they both “10s”?

We need a more stout midfielder. We can’t go into games with just Allan dvb and alli.
