think beyond the 10m, it'll mostly be contingent on unrealistic performance-related objectives (cup win, European qualification etc) which, given the state of the team and our performances in recent times, probably won't be met over the next 2.5 years.

Such a disparity in reported fees means anyone can use their confirmation bias to fit any narrative they want to the situation.

Spurs have just signed Bentancur and Kulusevski from Juventus so will surely be looking to unload some of the wage bill. Might give us some leverage in the Alli deal.

One of the worst years drops off the calculation, a lot if high earners leave the club this summer on expiries, already got the sizeable second year loan fee incoming from Kean likely a sale of Richy or DCL one not both, and time for us to ship off some who don't fit the system Lampard wants. Extra sponsorships etc mate

One is a second striker and the other is a technically proficient player who can play either as a 10 or a 6.
