This might be the most delusional thing I've ever uttered but I think Holgate is salvageable. There's a decent player that exists despite how horrid hes been. I'd rather we try to keep him the rest of the season to prove himself than sell him now. He's also versatile he's terrible at multiple positions instead of just one...

He’s had spells where he was really good and was one of our better performers, a bit like Davies when he first came through. I do wonder with them both if they’ve just been abysmally coached

I like Holgate. He seems the type that needs a run of games to get consistency.

Having said that, i prefer, Godfrey, Mina and Branthwaite to both him and Keane.

If we can sell Holgate + Keane for £10mil each then Mina goes in the summer we can bring in a top centre back to start and save a fortune in wages.

Haven't spent anything though. VDB is on loan so maybe a couple of mill. Alli would essentially be free until 20 apps which is next season and things look different in the summer ffp wise.
