My hope is the new energy and, hopefully, quality - combined with renewed positive mentality from a new manager - will relieve the burden on the defence and ultimately save us having to rely on our circus at the back as much.

We have 5 yes.
Mina is our best CB but struggles with injuries.
Keane has only looked good when playing in a really deep, low block, like when at Burnley and what Carlo did last season. Lampard won't play like that.
Godfrey has never looked solid at CB. And if Mykolenko struggles to adapt, Godfrey will likely be LB.
Branthwaite is very inexperienced and is a risk to throw in as a starting CB.
Holgate has been poor for much longer than 6 months.

For me, it was still key position that needed upgraded.
