Apparently already got Vitaly Mykolenko sealed for left back

Chelsea looking to loan Digne with a £20mill option to buy at the end of the season

So we're going to pay £20m for a unproven 22 year old while loaning out one of the best LBs in the league whos also a French international with a option for £20m.

Not a chance were letting one of our 3 best sellable assets go out on loan or we sell him that cheap.

So we are moving on an experienced French international left back who is loved at the club because Benitez has fallen out with him and replacing him with a Ukranian youngster with potential? When we actually need a RIGHT BACK?!!? Benitez isn't inspiring confidence in his first window with full control is he?

Gus Til would be a good signing. Should try and get Malacia and Rensch aswell.

If we sell Digne for £30mil (fair value) as a player turning 29 before next season then it makes sense. Anything like £23-25mil is quite a poor deal and reflects that Benitez has fallen out with the player.

Replacing Digne with an international left back 22 years old and also bringing in a right back u23 years old would make perfect sense.

The weird thing at the moment is that there are plenty of right backs out there u23 who we could attract. Not so many left backs.

RB: Mazraoui, Aarons, Rensch, Patterson, Ramsay, Dodo, Frimpong, Livramento, Singo etc etc

Making a list of Left backs isnt so easy.

Thing is Digne wants out and would make it known to his agent & the team wanting him clear that he is available, during the January market when teams don't spend alot this isn't good

Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at a club like Juve on loan with option for £20m

We are not in a position of power if the manager wants rid (I'd rather rid the manager)

Of course, if we sold Digne but then signed 2 young full backs whose values went up to the same as Digne over the next couple of years that would be good business.

We are not getting £30mil for Digne, especially when he’s being forced out. When things like that are public it affects the value

Unless a deal has already been agreed.

Otherwise, any less and that loss is down to the manager.

Worth a punt for a 6 month loan of Aubameyang? I know Chelsea are interested. No idea what his bust up with Arsenal is but he'd 100% be a better option than Rondon.

No that would be crazy and I can’t see it. Unless it’s a high loan fee. We should be looking for 30minimum, but it all comes down to which clubs are interested. Not that I’d want sell, but if we need the money to reinvest. After DCL, Richarlison, maybe Doucoure. Him, Pickford and Mina are the next 3 likely to bring in the most money.

And I suppose the new young left back fee will be spread over a long period and his wages, I’d imagine be half what digne’s are . Also maybe we do a few similar deal. Mainland Niles, the young midfielder from Mallorca. Or we pay a small fee for players out of contract next summer
