Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

The fact that clubs like Juve and Roma are allegedly considering Beto at all feels like a further indictment of Dyche, as in they know that there is a player in there somewhere, who will score goals, but are not put off by his record for us - do they think it is because he is mismanaged or subject to poor tactics???
Both.

Have you seen him play though?

Broja has been in a coma for years and came on an looked like a premier league footballer who can trap a ball. Chermitti looks similar. Beto...not so much.

And rumours are rumours. His agent will be on the blower for January. Scored in Italy. Join the dots.

Happy to loan with obligation aslong as we dont loose money and get his value. Epuld hopefully then bring in cash to bring in players would be a risk tho with the injuries dcl chermitti and broja have had.

4 year deal at circa £25mil
Book value in Jan approx £15,625,000

If we can sell at or above then we wont have 'lost' money based on his current book value.

For us, if we can loan until end of the season with an obligation then his book value drops to £12.5mil so we'd probably be able to get a larger PSR profit that way

Botafogo’s Igor Jesus has ended up on the radar of a few English clubs, including Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

That’s at least what UOL are reporting, and they cover Everton and Wolves interest in the 23-year-old.

The striker joined the Brazilian club in July, after his deal at Shabab Al Ahli expired, and he signed a contract until December 2027.

from the footage below he doesn't seem to be a striker, more of a RW or number 10

Igor Jesus! Amazing name. For that reason alone I'm in.

Why? Is our paid Director of Football on furlough until it’s completed or something?
Or you have multiple plans in place so you’re not left holding your Johnson and looking for scraps

Planning for any circumstance should be done at least months before a transfer window opens. Draw up scenarios so contingencies can be in place should they become a reality.
Said director of football (and manager) may very well not be here according to a lot of people.

We don’t know that for certain especially the director of football. Besides , if anything he should be aiming to impress his new employers, not sit on his arse and wait. That’s if he wants to stay here as DOF of course.
