Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Thankfully common sense has prevailed with Dele. I wish him all the best, but all niceties aside, this club needs to start operating in a way where the things it does directly benefit the club. Hopefully, Friedkin will get us back on track.

Kieran Tierney lined up for a return to Celtic.

We should be in there to hijack that.

Might be the only time I agree with DaveK. He’s a great player, injuries are his only issue but free transfer and as long as we make sure wages take into account the injuries and are a decent level, he’d be a bloody bargain.

That said it’s only worth it in a post-Dyche era given his strengths are getting forward and crossing into the box. He’d probably sit on the bench for not just staying in our own half all game.

Best of luck Dele X at least it frees up a loan and place in the gym
He's not contracted to anyone and hasn't been since May. Won't impact the loan spots we have available at all. That's Harrison & Broja for our two permitted domestic loans.

Dele was training with us in the hope that he get fit enough to earn a new contract. That's clearly not happened, but I hope he manages to get back into the game somewhere.

Chukwumeka from Chelsea could be a decent deal if the terms are right, younger with more potential than mangala

He's a player. I was saying we should try for him last summer and pair him with Iroegbunam (former teammates at Villa).

The bad news is, I heard yesterday that Chelsea are looking for £40mil for him -- after hes barely had a sniff.

Others commenting on Djed Spence as well...

Just shows how you need to get these young English players signed before their 'big' moves.

Not worked out at Arsenal. He'd be well better than Mykolenko.

Knock down price and get this done.
I've got garden furniture that's better than Mykolenko. Tierney was good prior to his injury but it'd be a massive risk and you never know if a player will come back the same after that amount of time out
