Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

I agree with you, but clearly there's not a huge chance of us going down. It's highly unlikely.
Well, if we don't add in January, and then get a few injuries, would you say the same? We're currently 4 points outside of the bottom 3 only and our attacking play has got worse throughout the season up to the point where it's now non-existent. If Pickford got injured, and we didn't add in January, we're 100% going down.

Buendia from Villa anyone ? Tidy footballer. Not a Dyche player though and do we have a loan spot free ?
This is going to be the problem in Jan. Do we spend money on players the manager wants but probably won’t suit the style of the next man who will inevitably come in, in the near future.. or do you buy players the DOF has identified but the manager doesn’t trust? Is the a middle ground?

Yep this. People are also not factoring in whether the other clubs down there strengthen. For example, Leicester and Wolves have replaced their managers, I would imagine their supporters are hopeful of their clubs strengthening given they’d need to back their new managers. I don’t think we will go down, but anything can happen in this league and we can’t be complacent.

Luca Celico Leite
If we have any ambition.
He’ll most likely end up at Madrid, Barca or Milan.

Does Dele leaving change our situation in any way ? Or was he already off the pay role / not in the squad ?
One less person “on the grass” will cheer Groundskeeper Willie up a bit. Other than taking up a bit of physio time occasionally he would not have cost us anything much since his contract ended.

Gordon was/is very quick - though we didn't appreciate him too much at the time.
Hard to appreciate a player who played well in a handful of games breaking into the side, decided he was a superstar, then downed tools for the following season when we wouldn’t immediately let him join a “bigger club” on the cheap.
