I would have thought that signing someone like Danso (A Centre Back) only makes sense if one of the first choice CB's is going? It sounds to me as though our name has been thrown into the mix with a group of clubs because he almost joined Roma in the summer.

Do you accept that this issue is not just down to Thewell, but general club issues and a succession of DoFs, one of whom (Brands) you seem to have a lot of time for?…..but the DoF is paid lots of money to manage the transfer strategy, even on a limited budget. As you said, the squad is devoid of quality
The bottom line is, is this the best we could ask for with the circa £100m that’s been spent, not forgetting the series of ineffective loans that have been brought in. No innovation, no obvious knowledge of global markets, no pace, no power, no quality just mediocrity.
The number of players out of contract next season is a massive concern, especially going into a relegation fight. It could make the difference in application and attitude if players are not going to be here next season, and even if we do stay up there’s literally 10 players needed next summer. What a total mess.
I think it was Leicester in a similar position when they got relegated.

Philogene going back to Villa was silly he was never getting games there. He left to get games the first time
