Thats exactly it. For a new striker to thrive here, in this squad playing these tactics, he would need to be the perfect allrounder on top of being able to finish. We cannot afford that type of player and our scouting network is not good enough to dig one out.
We need multiple attackers in the door.

You know what i find weird.

He's in the team of the season down there for the championship and cup. I also saw somewhere that hes the best Right Back in South America this season.

Brazil only have one RB in their squad who is DODO (Fiorentina). He's keeping out a player who i think is good (was last season), Michael Kayode. Additionally, Yan Couto (City sent to Dortmund on loan with option) and Vanderson (Monaco) are good players as well...yet not in the Brazil squad.

Anyway, just seems a bit odd that hes not been in their u20 or full squads if hes so good (looks supercharged on youtube though).

Also, Igor Jesus who were being linked with is in the Brazil side - Botofogo player.

He's also the only CF in their last squad. Thats despite them having half a dozen players id consider superior to him.

Anyway...all a bit peculiar.

A decent manager and coaches would turn it around much quicker, playing three Defrnsive Midfielders in the same team is never gonna work for the CF.

Absolutely, but negates the 'these tactics' part. Of course changing tactics is a better solution.

I think if you look at Jonathan David.

Hes out of contract this summer. Always linked with other sides...never moved.

Playing for Lille and makes goals for himself...quick player and deadly.

Surely, we should be offering Lille a nominal fee today to sign him and giving David a hefty amount to join us asap.

That helps any manager who comes in as he is a quality player.

I think if we can bring in 2 players of quality or high potential young players who can make a positive impact then it would be well worth the moves.

We're an awful proposition for any CF.

You ref playing three defensive midfielders - we don't really have any capable centre midfielder.

Garner is fresh air when he played because generally he can pass the ball forward or deliver a cross.
