Always considered that Coufal was a solid signing for them for about £4m. Hopefully, we move from a manager who showed no interest in the value of attacking fullbacks, to a manager who appreciates exactly what they bring to a team

I was adding to add Coufal to that list but I think he came in the next summer rather than Jan 2020. That's how you improve a team struggling against relegation and get them back in top half, 4-5 signings that improve the 11 across the pitch. Long overdue and nothing Moyes didn't do in his first spell.

I would love it if Everton signed Miguel Almiron* ...but realistically he would be a terrible signing for Everton.

His wage demands will be high, with Evertons squad he'd be easy to mark out the game and his support play won't help your other players score.

How many stories have there been in the Dyche era about players linked not wanting to play for Dyche and opting to go elsewhere? The latest was Philogene, where people scoffed at the notion that he would choose Ipswich over Everton, but all reports said it was virtually a done deal, and Everton was out of the running because he didn't want to play in a Dyche system. I reckon that also factored into the sacking, and it's interesting that the Ipswich move that got the "here we go!" treatment 2 days ago with a medical yesterday is suddenly stalled.

For sure almiron is a better player that the 2 mentioned. On a low wage/signing, it wouldn't be bad option for short term survival.

Would you not accept a striker that scored 10 premier league goals 3 seasons in a row whilst also providing 5-10 assists and creating mayhem and opening the game up for others? That’s what Antonio did in Moyes first 3 seasons

I assumed that was done, medical was reported two days ago. Kind of interesting it's not done, although possibly just because his agent hasn't a clue what he's doing. Even if we did try to usurp I wouldn't want to match the 22m they're offering regardless.

Oh I wasn’t suggesting we sign him. Just that it was evidence of Moyes ability to coach and improve strikers
