Fair enough. I think that relationship between him and Thelwell will be interesting. Moyes obviously had a lot of say over transfers in his previous stint.

There is a Hull fan who makes a lot of football documentaries who raved about Philogene last season and process on transfer direction aside, he does look like a good player and upgrade to the Everton squad.

Yes, it's true, because they didn't value Branthwaite at the level we did. As I said, it would be a danger to buy big expecting his sale in June to cover and protect us from PSR regs.

....and maybe they are right. Time will tell. They both look very good prospects to me. Both need time to develop

If he wants to bring his own recruitment people in who he trusts then fine but anytime Moyes is spending on the recruitment side of things is time he could be spending developing and improving the players. Sorry mate but its not Kenwrights Everton anymore where Moyes has a free reign to do whatever the hell he wants and that is just how Football clubs are these days, people expect results these days, given the backseat nature of how TFG operate there will always be a DoF or Sporting Director, and even then its not them who are looking for the players. We have a separate recruitment team under the control of Dan Purdy, imo its them that need binning off, have never turned up sod all.
