Whether we want it to be Patterson or not is irrelevant: I'm fairly confident Dyche doesn't, so he won't be playing regularly under him any time soon.Well at the start of next season we won't have Young or Coleman ( I would be incredulous if we offered them new deals).
We have to take a view on Dixon. Is he good enough to be back up ? Based on what little I've seen - yes.
So, next question is do you want Patterson to be your starting full back and is he going to stay fit? It's probably a no to each of those questions so yes I'd move him on and buy a starting full back.
It's a similar situation up front.
Is Beto good enough to be starting or back up ?
Is Chermiti going to stay fit and good enough to be back up?
Is DCL going to sign a new contract and do we even want him to for £130k per week with such a poor goalscoring record?
Hate to sound like Zat but I think I'd let DCL go , move Beto on and bring in a quality striker.
But then, Dyche may not be here long-term, so hopefully the club's hierarchy take that into consideration. It'll all boil down to where they feel we need to prioritise.
