Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Dibling in his time on the pitch looked well above Harrison & Lindstrom.

Dibling & Rigg in Jan if TFG are looking to build.
Yeh on football manager.

Realistically we need to ensure we’re in the division next year, neither make an immediate impact.

Players in the mould of Ilman… 22-24 high potential not lived up to thier potential at other clubs and get a manager in who can improve players…

We do relegation scares, though.

If we were a customer at a barber shop, we would be asked “do you want a shave, a close shave, or an Everton?”

We wont be relegated with Dyche -- thats the only thing keeping me from going full sack at the moment.

Such fine margins today though and he needs to go if TFG come in before January and we have decent money to spend.

Have to make it a mix of high potential youth e.g Dibling & Rigg + 2 starters who can make a difference from day 1.

…whilst I understand that sentiment, Dyche in contract limbo is a concern.

There are too many key assets in contract limbo and although they’re all professionals, I’m afraid it makes a difference when the going gets really tough.

If TFG want change, I really think they should be doing it now at Manager/DoF level.

If you change the manager now it has to be for someone who can work with this squad of players -- most managers wont be able to work their favoured style or quickly impact our players to a posession based way for example.

Two available coaches in Potter & Xavi as unlikely it may be we could get them would need our defenders to be good on the ball for starters. Would they do better than Dyche with our squad?

Clearly we dont have the Xfactor players who can open up teams with the final ball nor have we got fit goalscorers.

Dyche clearly has gambled on Keane, McNeil and DCL -- his 3 favourites and its not worked for him the last 2 games. Not by a long shot.

He needed a win today to make up for Fulham in part...now were 5pts worse than we should be -- with the fans turned against him finally.

Its a very hard decision for TFG but Dyche is making it for them.

No need for a DOF change at all.

….woeful lack of attacking threat and passing quality across the entire squad. Buy good footballers regardless of your spend envelope.

How about ZERO spend?

Just a look at the central midfield area and we can see Iroegbunam (injured) and Garner (injured) two good signings by Thelwell. One has been dropped and the other Dyche wants to use on the right instead of actually playing in the correct position.

Branthwaite given a pathway by Thelwell and O'Brien signed both blocked by Dyche.

McNeil used as a 10 when Lindstrom and Ndiaye are actual 10s...favouritism yet again.

Lindstrom, McNeill, Ndiaye, and Harrison will guarantee no more wingers this seasons. Maybe get one when Harrison goes back but I wouldn’t trust Thelwell to pick a decent one.

Remember we use 3 of them each game with one in the 10 role.

I think we could do with 1 more RW. Even simply a younger one not to start but as a last 20minute impact sub -- then possibly to start next season once Harrison & Lindstrom arent here.
