Reminds me when Moyes was scouting a Millwall player we were about to sign. There must be due process with Nuamah. It appears he is just being re-offered to us and Lyon need money. And they have to decide, with limited options, do they want him or not.
At the least Moyes would want a good look at him but he is known for taking his time, to put it mildly. I think he accepts that needs must on this occasion, but he'd still need to be on board with it. This signing and any other means nothing if they have little to zero impact.
I hope they don't sign him "just because". I don't expect they will though. It's probably Textor / Lyon pushing it again. The player didn't even want the move in the summer.
See your ludicrous calls on this thread they are really building upWhat about Ansu Fati from Barcelona? Available and if we put him on the Keto diet he could slim down. Vault me…
It's painful. Can somebody please explain why Everton pay £17m for Mykolenko and £28m for Beto, while Bournemouth can get Kerkez for £15m and Kluivert for £8m.
What future prospects do we have who can go on the wing or can create ?The tricky thing is we are in a perilous position but we are still out of the relegation zone and players coming back, we need players yes...but do we gamble on future prospects?
Now that Alli has signed for Como I half expect us to put in a bid of £24m for him.
Imagine being tasked with trying to ‘convince ‘ a decent player to sign for a moribund , perpetually relegation haunted club to be coached by such luminaries of the game as Dyche and now Moyes.I'll say it again...it is the work mostly of the dof to convince the best prospects in football to join us. Thelwell has failed miserably in doing so independently of the money situation...yet still directing our recruitment. With him, money or not, we'll most likely failed as we will have to continously settle for second, third or even fourth options.
I mean buying future prospectsWhat future prospects do we have who can go on the wing or can create ?
Agh. Well, I mean surely these players who we are mildly linked with are better than wgat we have? I think perhaps we have a small budget for this window? If so, then I'd rather go for a couple of decent looking prospects who can slot straight into the squad and have a good ceiling to grow to. Rather than just slapping out for 1 or 2 more expensive players. That's just my opinion though. But that also comes down to better scouting I supposeI mean buying future prospects
You have good salesman and bad ones...the good ones will see you the vision independently of the manager. Rarely listen to any interviews from thelwell, but the few times I have, it sounds deluded. Perhaps the owners believe in his narrative, but I don't. Not that long ago he was praising himself for the work he has done with the youth team...our youth team must be the worst it has ever be, with very little prospects of any player making it to the first team.Imagine being tasked with trying to ‘convince ‘ a decent player to sign for a moribund , perpetually relegation haunted club to be coached by such luminaries of the game as Dyche and now Moyes.
Sisyphus was condemned to a less daunting task .
