Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Thank god some fans don’t manage the team. We had spurs for 50-60m for this guy who’s struggled to get on the pitch due to injuries.

Sentimental decisions like this are what have got us in this shocking position in the first place.

We need young hungry players not expensive players with injury records. I swear fans would sign players based on their instagram.
Who does Instagram play for? Is he any good?

I love Richy, too. But there’s no coming back. Not with the injuries and lack of production. We have to set our sights higher from here on out.
I would agree with you - but these new standards of yours that I welcome don't seem to apply to the manager's office...

If we can bring Moyes back, I fear we can bring Richy back. I have time for both - and both are better than what we had/have, but are we ever going to actually move forward properly as a club witout clinging to the apron strings of, let's face it, a mediocre recent past?

Just bring him home for god sake...Just spending some quality time alone at GP one last time.

I don't half miss him.

Looks like dithering to me. Hope we have another one lined up.
Yeah would like to hope so as is a position we have needed since the summer. Just hope not gnonto, is plenty of good rm to get.
Do wonder if we might see Habib Diarra linked again in the next week or so, his name’s cropped up a lot in recent windows and we definitely need a Doucoure replacement
Yeah likef the look of the lad quick feet

Do think he will leave them apart from saudi cant see anyone who would pay the price spurs want. I kno big wages but for me if could do a loan next season, would be a great move is a risk woth recent injuries.

He's already knocked back Saudi clubs last season knowing his personality he's not gonna go over there.

Richy is still 27, not 28 till may, if he suits his fitness out then he's got a good 4-5 left.

Round about the same age as both Gray and Reid when they came in as 'crocked' players, both did amazing.

I'd take him back like a shot, but on our terms for a player spurs want rid of whose price should reflect that

15-20 m or a loan with a similar priced option.

We've taken a huge bath in certain players, but we're in a situation nobody would match there deals here, spurs want rid they need to take a huge loss on the lad, powers with the player in this, if he wants to come home then he can ensure it happens by simply turning down any offers from Saudi etc, not many clubs will match that 90-100k contract.

Yeah agree with you on saudi also think his pride getting back into the national team wouldnt go. Yeah i cant really see a sale at that price but a deal with big loan fee i would. Feel like is an easy win and give us dans a lift. I do feel would be a moyes player similar to what moyes got from bowen imo. Be hard deal to so but well lets see

Some players are just made for a club, richy is one of them...

People have short memories, we adored him and he repaid us by giving us everything, even when he was hurt....

To spurs fans he's just another decent player and they've never showed him the same affection...

Which makes you wonder, would he have played through the same injuries for us? I bet he would some of them...

Anything less than 35 would be a good deal for us...
