Exactly...... I think this is the most pressing issue. Ideal for what was required. Solidify our premier league survival. Mission accomplished.we need dyche out for a start
If we wanted to improve our entire right hand side without spending the earth could do worse than him and Alistair Johnson.Nicolas Kühn at Celtic. RW. Has 8 goals and 10 assists this season. Just scored a peach in the CL.
Kev watched Sporting pay £21mill for Gyokeres and then proceeded to pay around £26m for the striker that was about to sit on Sportings bench. That was the cock up. Yes Cov needed instant full-up cash, and Sporting accepted 2p a year from us.We did not...not enough money to make it happen at the time (both wages and fee)
I think he will be off in the Summer if not in Jan.Was very unsure about him last season.... Has improved, similar style to Bernardo Silva.... Won't be available any time soon.... Cost 3m... Hatate, Maeda, Kyogo all came with Ange Postegoglu.... 3 very good players.
Celtic play some unbelievable football. They've absolutely played RBL off the pitch here. The starting team probably costs less than Beto and Dwight McNeill..... Engels is the only one that was a significant outlay and if they sold him now they would already make profit.
Would make you sick thinking how we squander money on scrap
Odsonne Edouard got 18 goals in European competition for Celtic over the space of 3 seasons.Kev watched Sporting pay £21mill for Gyokeres and then proceeded to pay around £26m for the striker that was about to sit on Sportings bench. That was the cock up. Yes Cov needed instant full-up cash, and Sporting accepted 2p a year from us.
But the correct decision would be to have deleted both names off the spreadsheet and look for a better version of Beto off a team willing to take stage payments (and I actually like Beto if you play him like a small fast striker and not a big donkey).
I’m no expert, but having watched Gyokeres about 10 times live for Cov with a season ticket holding mate, it was clear as day he was easily good enough and his bullish style was tailor made to be an Everton fan favourite. Can only assume Kev never bothered to head down the M6, or is clinically blind, or was too busy celebrating the structure of the Dele deal.
Think if he gets a massive move back to the PL he won’t be quite so prolific. He is seal clubbing in that league most weeks. For where we were at that point, he was as close as an absolute sure thing as you’d ever see for us. I’d have sold Pickford to afford him, and I think Pickfords contribution to our survival has been huge.
Plotting, scheming, mulling - the terms you only ever seem to see used in football. Oh and doing something with aplombMan United 'plotting fresh move' for Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite
United had bids of £35m and £45m, plus £5m in add-ons, rejected druing the transfer window before turning their attention towards Lille's Leny Yoro and Bayern Munich's Matthijs de Ligt.www.dailymail.co.uk

GMS! More like GIVE ME STRENGTH! as my mother used to say.GMS ...ffs really Zat ?
Missed so many players like him who have done well, hopefully this can be the change now and we can bting in these type of players.we need to forget about this Gyokreyes fella as he has gone and won't be coming to us, we have more pressing concerns for example a manager who is no better than a 1970s PE teacher
can anyone imagine Gyorekes playing in a Dyche team getting the ball pelted at him from 40 yards enough said. our fans would hate him after 6 games and say what a waste of money
He and his agent said he wasn't intrested in the deal at the time.Kev watched Sporting pay £21mill for Gyokeres and then proceeded to pay around £26m for the striker that was about to sit on Sportings bench.
