Lamprey is too small, far too injury prone, and hasn’t been able to force his way into the Brighton team (when fit) for a 2-3 years now.

He isn’t any better than what we currently have and is less reliable. The only thing he has going for him is he is younger than a couple of our current portions.

We would be better off finding someone better who can play more than a handful of games a season.

Agree but with the current system manager would not be a good fit imo.

Just seen Lamptey's contract is up in the summer anyway, so I'm not sure why we would be paying money for him in January - unless it was another Broja-type loan deal

Napoli's Victor Osimhen looks to be playing well on loan for Galatasaray, he is 26 next year is the type of forward we need to get signed in the summer and show some real ambition.

I would be very surprised if Thelwell or the recruitment team were doing any long term planning around Dyche's requirements or what would work in his system.

We'd have to sign him on a permanent, I think. Broja and Harrison are our domestic loans and I'm sure we're only allowed two.
