Everton could spend up to £40m on new signings from a PSR perspective, according to the I.

The news outlet reported on 20 January that finance experts predict that the Toffees have £5million-£10million in PSR headroom to play with until the transfer window ends because a player signed for £40m on a four-and-a-half year contract would go into the books as £4.5million due to amortisation

Beto will be a wash at best. The fee you get for him would be wiped out by the remaining amortization on his contract.

Yup but we pay on PSR if he stays anyways at around 6m, so even if we just sell him for around 16m now then it breaks even for us in terms of PSR - freeing up a 6m charge against us the next two years.

Very much worthwhile offloading him in terms of creating more room to do deals

Also why we were looking for a good loan fee and lower sake price, that way we get the PSR benefit this season for the loan fee, and come the summer wipe his costs from the books with the sale.

It's also why until they changed the loan regs Chelsea had a kisn factory going and didn't have to worry about PSR as all those loan fees for the 25-30 players they had out all added to that years figures.
