Another day desperately needing players and nothing, if it’s down to PSR how are we going to get a squad together for next season unless Coleman, Keane, Doucoure etc sign new deals to make the numbers up because that’s all they do now pathetic club we really are the laughing stock of the league.

Well, in the summer we get increased revenues and some more of our historical overspend comes off the books.

Its certainly not gonna be easy, but there will be more scope to spend.

But we will also spend this window, IMO, still 11 days left, it takes 20minutes to sign a player, loads of time left.

Next season is next season; the last two years of austerity, plus the increased club revenue courtesy of the stadium & sponsorship, the cleared salaries off the books, plus (and we all hope) as cash injection into the club from TFG should allow for the rebuild of the squad without breaching PSR.

This window is slightly different.

Welp, 3 days until next game - no new starters this time.

I suppose some advantages of dragging feet, when you have limited spend, are that we may still get injuries yet and the manager has a better of idea of who in the squad is useful for his plans.

Would be good to get their skates on though.

Maybe I needed to spell this out more - when I said 'right now', I meant 'given our current priorities and the restricted amount we can spend in this window'.

I’m getting pretty worried by the lack of signings. Everyone else in the Prem seems to be doing business and we’re barely being mentioned on the transfer news shows. Why do we always leave it so late?

Who else in the Prem has signed a player that realistically fits the following criteria - 1. we could afford them - 2. they would choose to come to us - 3. they will make a difference between now and the end of the season - 4. they are a sound investment, not just a panic buy that we will be lumbered with for years to come (as previously)?

Looking at the list here: https://www.skysports.com/football/...window-2025-premier-league-deals-ins-and-outs hardly any business has been done, it is all mostly speculation driven by agents and media to make these transfer news shows.

Assuming he would have left London, Esse from Millwall is the only one that would have excited me. Philogene was a no for me, but I appreciate divides opinion.

If Kayode gets added to that list by going to Brentford, that is one I would have wanted us to be after as well.

Looks like a couple of GOTsers woke up this morning to this
