Perhaps not this window but Gueye is on an expiring and I can’t see us paying 30 for Mangala. All of the other midfielders are more attacking so having an eye on that DM profile isn’t a bad idea. Just not a priority for this window

Completely and given it's not a priority for this window and their promotion push this makes much more sense as one to explore for the summer.

….looks like he rejected a contract extension, his current deal expires next year.

Before anyone pipes up about deals under wraps, these things always gets out via the selling club or agents to start a bidding war.

I feel like it’s pretty well accepted that we have more available cash than before due to restructured debts and whatnot, but restrictions on what we can spend due to PSR is the problem.

I also don’t really agree with the second part of your post, either. I feel like most of the deals that PL teams have wrapped up so far this window have all moved quite quickly from rumour stage.

Yeah apparently Moyes been a fan of him as he was at the academy when Moyes was there, sounds plausible until you realise Neil was 15 and I can guarantee Moyes had zero idea he existed back then.
