Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

I can remember the last time he was here. let me give you an example when we put in an offer for Tim Cahill it was matched by another club (I think it was another London club) Moyes could not make up his mind so the other club was about to sign him and then the other club discovered what the agents fee was they withdrew their offer, so we nearly lost him due to dithering Dave. That's why I did not want him. so I am not obsessed by calling him Diddering Dave. Its My opinion and I am entitled to it what ever you say.
Didn’t similar happen with Stones. We were dithering & he was driving to Wigan at which point we matched their bid.

At least I’m not a sectarian danger.
Do one you absolute prick. I don't have a sectarian bone in my body. Seems any criticism of certain players generates that kind of attack from nonentities like yourself. Ive loved numerous ex Rangers players that have turned out for us.

Pack it in, the pair of yer.

Don't make me trot out the 'we're not affiliated to a religion or any Glaswegian club' spiel.

Finding it funny you're using an insult against Moyes when you don't even understand what the word means lol.

Dithering is indecisive you melt. If he's always ultra defensive then tactically he can't be dithering as he's decisively defensive in mind.

Dithering as he knew, we all knew, a positive change was needed but he didn't have the bottle. Hence indecisive. Honest question did you watch many games in person under Moyes in his first spell?

Agreed and apologies. But without sounding like a 3yr old kid that poster and a few others bring out the line constantly and get away with it. Apologies. Will put him on ignore and move on.

But we didn't lose Cahill though...he signed for Everton and went on to be one of Moyes's best transfers.

Of course you're entitled to your opinion but surely you must realise you may come up against some resistance when your opinions aren't based on fact.

See if you can come up with another failed transfer where his dithering cost us and i'll happily spend the rest of the night under the stairs.

oh all them top ten finishes were fake

ok lad

We had a great team back then and moyes was terrified of the so called big-4. His record against the so called big teams was criminal and, relative, to our own league position, proved categorically that he bottled it time and time again.

Then of course when he moved to Utd he proved his contempt for us as a little club.

The fanbase called him dithering dave, but was it ever dithering or just making sure he got the right type of player?

He didnt do too badly, maybe if the club had dithered a bit more when buying players or hiring managers in the last 12 years we wouldnt be putting on our Moyes cardi.

Thiago' brother isn't he?
He might be but I was just looking at options on a free from this list: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spi...klasse=&wettbewerb_id=alle&seit=alle&yt0=Show

I was also only talking 6 month deal. Adds numbers for us in low ish wages you’d imagine given they are still without clubs and gives them some training/game time so should be win win for everybody. Only downside is how unfit/lacking sharpness they may be after being without clubs

Correct....his budget was that small he just knew he had to get it right.
