Agreed I said this this morning also. Beto is a completely different type of striker to DCL so the system has to be tweaked. That means playing a midfielder behind him who can thread balls for him to run on to. That player is Harrison Armstrong. We need to get over the phobia of not “risking” youngsters. He’s the only midfielder we currently have who can play those type of through balls. Anyone who watches the U21’s have seen him do it regularly, and he showed it again against Peterborough in the cup. He has vision, and can play. Doucoure, can’t. Absolutely pointless pumping balls up either from deep, or wide areas for Beto because despite his size, that just isn’t his game. Has to be Beto up top, Nidiaye, Armstrong and Lindstrom behind him.
