Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Mate, we do not have a striker.
How many quality strikers are instantly available with no competition from other clubs? Bournemouth lost their two best fowards, same with spurs , yes urgency is needed but this idea a solid striker that can come in running with no thorough assessment of available players beforehand and not expecting a process in recruiting said players is unrealistic in my opinion

I trust Moyes can make players better whoever he decides to sign, he deserves that trust after his first spell. I just fear we may be limiting ourselves if we just go for players with PL experience rather than trying to bring in the next so and so from abroad. We really need to be taking more risks if we want to be a profitable club on the pitch, bring the average age down develop young talent when they're relatively unknown and inexperienced.
We desperately need additions to the squad we needed them before we lost two strikers and a crucial midfielder .

Prem experience shouldn’t be limiting who we go for , I think it’s a consideration but as you say we need to take chances . It’s a question of getting that balance right .

We don’t want another Tosun / Walcott debacle.

Beat Leicester - we’ll go with what we’ve got.

Lose to Leicester - we’ll bring in one or two.

Whoever we manage to bring in is likely to be the following:

a) Short term squad fillers, bodies
b) Currently injured or just back from injury
c) Young unknown prospect, like Chermiti type, not currently playing first team football
d) Experienced prem, but largely uninspiring

In essence, I'm not expecting anything exciting at all from these last days of the window.

Which signings prove he's doing a crap job please? I'm sure this has been covered off at length previously.
Danjuma
Harrison
Beto
Maupay
Chermiti
Coady
Vinagre
To name a few...

Contract extensions to

Coleman
Doucoure over £100k p/w

Couldn`t shift these players which were leaching vast amounts of money from the club

Gomes £125k p/w
Alli £100k p/w
Holgate

Supporting Dyche to the bitter end!

It's building up to being an epic Monday night. The question is will it be Joy or Fume. It's not be boring for a few good years, largely miserable but not boring.

I’m a bit confused, I’m sure I saw a few people say we were in for lard-arse from Rangers? Now the exact opposite information has been thrown into the ether… I wonder if the fairytale fee conjured out of thin air will be cited as the reason the club aren’t interested any more?

Tune in later to find out, for a monetary donation…
