Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Was checking out the Brighton threads about him, the rumour on there was he actually had glandular fever the other year, so who knows if the coke stuff is pure bs

It’s the type of ambitious signing that would make a statement. Perhaps too many risk indicators for a sky six team but if we came in just at Brighton’s number and gave him the prospect of starting every game it could turn out to be a good move. But when does anything ever turn out well for Everton. Probably get an ACL injury on the train up and find his rehab team is Van Der Meyde and Drenthe.

I think Adebayo from Luton could be a real Moyes player. Just looked and mixed information about his contract but it looks like he has a year left based on a few sites I found. Saw wages estimated to be £12k a week which is insanely low even if we tripled them for him to come and £10m market value is good considering he has the PL experience Moyes is after

Him and another striker would be good I think and he has the profile to replace DCL for sure.

Id be on board mate, was impressed with him in the Pl last season.

Yeah I'm at the point were I'd take the risk. We'll end up otherwise with pretty much jobbers like we've had most of the last 25 years Lukaku aside. Ferguson is a one off chance to get a player who handled right could be very very good indeed and for years to come as well.

We could find that the impact of lack of qualification through to the next stages of Europe could open up more opportunities.

Champions League teams who missed out so we could look at these to pick up a bargain.

Tonight's Europa League is very tight with some big teams including Roma.

Below are the clubs need to win to stand any chance to qualify

So let's calm and sort out returning Broja and Mangala loans then let's concentrate on Leicester and we can add over the weekend.

Dont want any stop gap signings, all signings must be to improve squad for the medium term. There is no way we can go out in the summer and buy replacements for all the players that will be out of contract. Think we need 3 now, like @bluestevon said 1 statement signing that will start for us (Ferguson or similar profile) and has potential upside and then 2 lower risk loans with options/obligations.
