Just watched the presser, way I interpreted Moyes comments was that it’s not that the players we’re gonna try bring it aren’t necessarily people they don’t want, they’re just of a tier lower than the ones they really want but just can’t afford with PSR.

“If we can get these £20m players, let’s”

“Hmm okay want about these £10m players.”

“Right we’ll we’re desperate after the injuries these loan players will suffice.”

Mangala & Dom have forced our hand. I’m sure they’d rather just wait for the Summer and get the top tier targets.

Moyes didn't look chuffed in the press conference and it looks to be over transfer choices like Alacaraz that he probably didn't make. Then there's a briefed journalist like Boyland (briefed by whom?) saying this is premature.

Someone making a point that a signing was made 3 hours after he said he was still searching maybe?

That point was pretty much made by @GrandOldTeam and I reckon it's spot on.

Agreed. His comments weren’t as bad as people were making out. Just we can’t do top tier deals this window.

Which is utterly stupid to say at this point and merely indicating that anyone coming in aren't his choices.

As said: it was a titty lip performance that I never thought I'd see from Moyes. You live and learn.
