Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

I’ve gone from being adamant we needed three signings the other day to actually being pretty happy with Alcaraz as our only incoming. Moyes has basically said we can’t sign the players he wants right now so no point splashing out on crap he doesn’t want I suppose.
He didn’t say that, he said we are not shopping where he would like at the moment, but we are very short now so need squad reinforcements

This is my thinking too. I’d rather we spent better than panic buy because of injuries. I know the squad is thin and we do need reinforcements, but we’ve bought in so many stop gaps over the years, and look where it got us. It’s risky as we hope to get players back from injury for the run-in, but the last 3 results have given us that wiggle room, so the risk is not as acute.

Hold off on bringing in a other CF, we aren't in the running for Ferguson due to funds by the looks of it so no point spending 10-15m on just a body to bring in, even a very mediocre strikers gonna set you bs k that much on January.

Beto looks very durable, Chermiti bs k in three weeks and DCL 3 weeks after they by reports.

Be tempted still to try terminate Brojas loan as he's broken - use the spot to either try for Ferguson or Mcatee (preferred) on a last minute loan deal and get options on whichever one.

A late loan offer on Diarra from Strasbourg wouldn't be the first option either.

Saw us linked with Ebimbe as well although he apparently failed a medical on a move to France so not sure if that's just bs (sounds it)

I'd say we definitely need an attacker regardless. We've no depth at all in any attacking positions

Main concern is any setback to Chermiti plus a Beto injury (say he gets knocked out again or something) would be a problem but if we continue to play the ball on the floor and make chances like today N'diaye could probably do it for a game or two if needed

we don’t need a striker ffs

We 100% do!

Im made up with how beto played today but we wont be playing Leicester every week.

Also DCL wont be back till end of march april time, broja end of april and chemitti? Who knows hes been injured all season we dont know when hes back.

Thats best case scenario btw. Not taking into account any relapses any of them have and the fact broja is made out of cracked glass.

Also two of those strikers will be leaving in the summer. So why not get a striker in now if a target is available?

Only thing is if Ndiaye had to fill in up front we lose his influence on the wing and progressing play up the pitch ending up having to play Harrison there if McNeil isn't back
