Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

We can't score goals, we're in a relegation scrap, he's one of only 2 strikers on the books who look likely to play again this season, and we're still hamstrung by PSR. We can hardly let him go for free. I doubt we'd hold out for £15m but they have to play some sort of hardball otherwise it's just another option lost without any money to replace them with.
And how many has DCL scored this season? Let him go now for a reasonable fee ( any fee is win win for PSR) and bring in someone else who can score

we’re hardly going to miss is goals. £15 million could go a long way to address somewhere else. Michael Keane is a better option up front than Dom based on their finishing
Well yeah £15m could go a long way, that's probably why they're asking for it? I know he's not great but he literally played 90 minutes in our last game, we obviously need to get some sort of decent money for him to justify letting him go otherwise it's madness.

That's what I'm saying, I doubt they would really hold out for £15m but any less than 7 or 8 and it's not worth it in my opinion, we're at a stage already where we've got 2 keepers and 2 kids on the bench, selling a mainstay of the starting 11 for 250k hardly seems like a bright plan when we're scratching around as it is.

Anything between £5-10 million and he can go.

He won't be missed

£15m plus over £100k in wages every week!

This looks a bit football manager but.... I`m gonna do it anyway!

Outs
DCL £15m, saving £100k per week in wages
Harrison, £90k p/w wages, cost to send back c2.3m
Broja, £40k p/w, cost to send back c£1m
Beto, £15m saving £50k p/w
And I`d get rid of Doucoure for whatever we could get and saving £100k p/w

£380k p/w saved in wages
£3.3m paid to cancel loans and give us our 2 domestic loans back
£30m in transfer fees plus whatever we could get from Doucoure

That should give us massive wiggle room to get 4/5 or 6 players we need.

As ever we need creativity in our dealings- I ain't saying that any of the above is possible or not, but hopefully someone at Everton is trying to work out how to get deals done and taking the same open approach to transfers.

They're target is to be a consistent top 10 club, which they're achieving currently. I doubt they're massively arsed what Bournemouth and Forest are doing this season. Anyway Brighton's net spend over the last 2 years is less than Bournemouth's
Mainly down to Chelsea going nuts for FFP purposes.

List of Thelwell Loans:

Lindstrum
Broja
Mangala
Harrison x 2
Broja
Viangre
Coady

Not sure if it was him
Van de Beek
El Ghazi

Even without those last 2, that's a pretty disastrous list.
Can we keep big nose Kev away from our loan deals, or better yet, just bin them off, i don't think they work for us like they used to with our nostalgic Lukaku, Pienaar, Deulofeu, Arteta heads on.

Problems with that:
There is and no interest for Beto and even if there was it would be for about £4m. Doucoure is out of contract in 5 months and no team will pay to take him now. DCL has no takers. So the entire thing falls on its face sadly.

….that is grim.
