Yeah villa bought him from them when he was about 21 for 15m the summer after they got promoted. Same as Ipswich did with Delap.

But ofc Everton signing mcatee according to most is me dreaming or being delusional...

Villa finished 17th that season btw, Ipswich will finish where this?

Both obviously were bigger draws than Everton though according to people who wanna low ball expectations...

That lot screwed £12M out of Everton for a player worth less than a lucky bag.

I'd never do business with them again.

We still haven’t paid anywhere near that, would be amazed if it’s in excess of 7million - lots of clauses in his contract that he still hasn’t met

Exactly but nah it suits people's interests to moan about lack of ambition whilst at the same time laughing off any suggestion of showing ambition.
