Everton January transfer window 2021

Sevilla is off to a poor start. Maybe with the covid situation, they might be hurting for money. Maybe we can take Lucas Ocampos off their hands

Elseid Hysaj from Napoli, decent RB, Carlo knows him and his contract expires the end of this season so he'd be relatively cheap.

First story on the BBC gossip page today is Inter willing to sell Eriksen for £18m.

Is it true? Who knows.

Would there be eight or nine big clubs in for him? Probably.

Should we go for him? Definitely. Get him in on January 1st 2021. He walks straight into the starting XI.

As usual, the problem is the expensive dross sucking all the life out of the payroll - Bolasie, Siggy, Besic all need punting ASAP.

Got to make signings and tbf think we will if we’re still around top 6 and the other clubs form are still up and down

Unbelievable list management to let Kean and Walcott ship off without signing any adequate attacking and quick depth in their place.

Maybe no players were available that we wanted? Then don’t let those two leave for now.

It’s hardly rocket science, is it? Jesus wept.

We need another option that has pace and can run in behind relying on Richy and DCL to start every game and play every minute is bizarre...

We have to be doing some due diligence on players with pace and a modicum of end product. Tsygankov would be a good start and he’s a lefty to boot

Makes me laugh when fans were laughing at suggestions of us signing the likes of Zaha, Wilson, Fraser, King

All 4 of those would have been massive upgrades on the likes of Bernard, Tosun, Iwobi who stink the gaff out week in week out.

Be nice to see us for once bring in one or two solid squad players who you know would be able to do a solid job for us when called upon.

We are a few windows away, but I hope this winter we make a couple of moves

Right now there is a huge drop off between the following players and their replacement

DCL has no back up really
Richarlison: Drop off between Richy and Iwobi is laughable
James...really, no one can do what he does for us
Digne: Nkounkou is a good prospect, but Digne is simply world class
Coleman: The old man is far ahead of Kenny and does well covering for James and overlapping him.

Then there is the need for an actual 8. Isco would be cheap. No brainer there.

So I say priorities
1. Sign isco. Price will be low and he can play as an 8 and also replace James when needed.
2. Sign a winger: A talented winger that can start on the right if we wanna switch things up and/or replace Richy if he misses time.
3. A back up right back. Coleman is getting old. We need a good back up there.

2 out of the 3 in this window would be nice.

Please. I'm more optimistic than a lot because I believe our starting 11 can compete with anyone, but it gets ugly beyond that.

Why that maybe true and all about opinions. Only Zaha on that lists helps us challenge the top 6/4
So any of the other 3 are just wasting money like we are trying to get rid of.
