Everton January transfer window 2021

Isn't part of the problem that nobody wants our deadwood, even where we offer to subsidise their wages? We are then stuck with these concrete lifejackets until their contracts run down. During which time our room for manouver in the market is limited to loans or imaginative James (Isco?) type transactions with little/no fees?

We are second in the league with key players out in November.

That's amazing for Everton. We need to build on that but importantly shift that deadwood i.e Bolasie, Besic, Tosun, Sigurdsson.

Come January, if we can move a few on and get a few new faces in on loan or permanent in key positions like right back, right winger and centre midfield.

If not, we keep this pace despite two defeats we'll be pushing for Europe and if we get some luck, top 4.

This season will still be great.

I’m hoping we show a reaction to get things back on track. The United game will be massive, win that and we’re in an amazing position. We just need to avoid what has happened in previous years where a bad result or two he led to a few months of relegation form and by the time a bit of good form has kicked back in its too late to make the running for Europe. If we can stay on and around the top 6 over the Christmas period then a few players back from injury, an addition in January, and not playing europe might mean we can realistically target Europe.

Makes me laugh when fans were laughing at suggestions of us signing the likes of Zaha, Wilson, Fraser, King

All 4 of those would have been massive upgrades on the likes of Bernard, Tosun, Iwobi who stink the gaff out week in week out.

Be nice to see us for once bring in one or two solid squad players who you know would be able to do a solid job for us when called upon.

When you put your bins out in the evening do you expect your rubbish to be gone in the morning? Or would you want the bin men to swap your rubbish for your neighbours?

If you can't see the difference between my posts and sarcastically saying "Hee hee we should put you in charge since your so smart" then there really isn't much left to say. I have good discussions on here with many posters, if you can't see that I'm honestly trying to talk about things it is on you alone.

And lets face it, I would be the best man for the job...

They were demanding £25m for him, of course he wasn’t expected to leave.
Of course he was thats why he wasnt playing

"Well good news reported today & I'd like to believe in JT's words (from the echo)

Tindall added: "I think once the window shuts, you can either be disappointed and come back with motivation and fire in your belly to go and do well and prove to everyone what a good footballer you are. That’s certainly where Josh King is.

"We had a good chat yesterday. He knows he’s here and he’s itching to show everybody what a great player he is and to score goals in the Championship."

From the 20th October, he as well as the manager expected him to go

Always wanted us to sign Alassane Plea. He's really kicked on since moving to Gladbach. 27 now but a brilliant all-round forward.

Someone of that ilk would be a mega signing. Thuram's not half-bad either, like.

We are a few windows away, but I hope this winter we make a couple of moves

Right now there is a huge drop off between the following players and their replacement

DCL has no back up really
Richarlison: Drop off between Richy and Iwobi is laughable
James...really, no one can do what he does for us
Digne: Nkounkou is a good prospect, but Digne is simply world class
Coleman: The old man is far ahead of Kenny and does well covering for James and overlapping him.

Then there is the need for an actual 8. Isco would be cheap. No brainer there.

So I say priorities
1. Sign isco. Price will be low and he can play as an 8 and also replace James when needed.
2. Sign a winger: A talented winger that can start on the right if we wanna switch things up and/or replace Richy if he misses time.
3. A back up right back. Coleman is getting old. We need a good back up there.

2 out of the 3 in this window would be nice.

Please. I'm more optimistic than a lot because I believe our starting 11 can compete with anyone, but it gets ugly beyond that.
I also think we need another box to box CM who can cover AM/DM roles as well as Doucoure. Gylfi and Bernard will hopefully go to the middle east in January.
