Everton January transfer window 2021

Listening to Carlo’s post match comments, were not signing anyone this window.
Downplaying it. A team in good form like we are you don't start saying you want new players because then you risk losing faith from the ones doing well currently.
I reckon we will.

That Weghorst would be a nice option to have up front, I’m sure I saw some tenuous links online but was probably just hearsay. He’d be sound though, 6’6, good goalscoring record and hopefully wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg. We need someone to compete/rotate with DLC and ultimately shift Cenk (and co) on
*correction: I just googled the lad and he may actually cost a fair bit more than arm and a leg...

Come on man, you know there must be an accompanying YouTube video!

I do think we'll bring 1-2 in but its the nature of the deals - if we spent £20+ million on a decent back up CF/wide player then I could accept a loan deal for an ageing Khedira for example but if we just bring in an uninspiring loan or cheap signing who isn't going to help the squad then its pointless doing business all together imo.

The club isn't going to have a better chance of getting back into Europe when we are 4th and could be 2nd by end of tonight - go get 1-2 solid additions in and punt the likes of Bernard and Tosun.
Khedira is washed up and Brands would have to convince Carlo to move Bernard. Good luck with that.

That wasn't your original point though, we had spent hundreds of millions on our squad.
My point was that Brands hasn't spent more that most of our competitors. Wolves, Leicester, West Ham, even Villa. Spurs and Arsenal are at another level of course. And that the situations at Liverpool when Edwards took over and Brands are night and day different.

The question is, why would Wolfsburg sell? They are sitting in 4th.

You said its not hard to build a team from one that's already had hundreds of millions spent on it. We have proved it is if you don't have the right people in charge

Directly in reference to Liverpool, or did you just miss that part of the sentence? Did the comma throw you off?
