Happy New Year fellow Evertonians......

My only hope from this window is to finish it stronger than we started. I think we need a dynamic RB with Coleman as a decent back up option and another 1st choice winger. I think Iwobi does a job but we need better to be able to progress with Iwobi as a good back up choice.

Might be controversial but we need a Champions League quality centre back........
I think our cbs are fine but I see what you mean, a Virgil van dijk signing, one that can gave a high line and talks a lot, we’re fine right now but on the future we will need one of those

Ings was nowhere near as good as he is now.

#fakenews that mate

Never said that he was i said he was a good consistent striker, who is now in his peak.

You can't claim that two players are late bloomers when one was operating at a fairly good level then had his career completely derailed by missing 3 years of football through consecutive acl injuries. His record before and after his injuries shows hes always been a good striker and obviously as he's gotten older and physically moved into his peak years and is playing consistent football he is going to improve as a player.

That doesn't prove he's a late bloomer. The only thing it proves is that you don't actually know what the term "late bloomer" actually means or you just picked a players name at random and hoped no one would notice.

Pennington off to league one today, he's on £1m per year so that will save us a little bit. If we can get Bolasie and Besic out as well, that will knock another £5.4m off the annual wage bill, then we should be able to bring 2 new players in.

You're assuming that the clubs loaning them will be covering the full amount of their wages?
I doubt that will be the case.

But surely if he wasn't as good when he was younger as he is now that he's older makes him by definition a late bloomer?

Its not like he was scoring 20 goals a season and playing for England prior to injury - he was in all honesty an above average striker with decent potential prior to injury and is now a very good striker.

Like Wilf he's become more consistent and playing at a higher level than they ever have in their respect careers - whereas players like DCL have improved drastically in the last 18 months yet is only 23.

Not at all - both Ings and Zaha were seen as young players with potential and were signed by bigger clubs as squad players - both flopped and are now top performers at Saints/Palace.

Ings banged 20+ goals last season and is an England regular and Wilf is Palace's best player and starting to add goals to his game which wasnt the case at Utd/his early Palace days.

Neither were anywhere near as consistent years ago imo.

WRONG!

Danny ings was 23, had scored 33 goals in two seasons (22 in the championship and 11 in his first season in the Premier league) and had won the championship player of the season already. He'd proved himself in the championship and had already proved himself in the Premier league when Liverpool signed him.

Whike Zaha on the other hand was a 19 year old kid who had won the young player of the year award in the championship and was nothing but potential when united signed him.

They are nothing alike at all.

So he scored most of his goals in the fizzy pop league where Dwight Gayle and Cameron Jerome are made to look like top quality finishers.

Im not arsed if im "WRONG" I dont seek validation on a footie forum to make myself feel good - im just stating an opinion that Danny Ings wasn't scoring 20 goals in the PREMIER LEAGUE or playing in the England seniors at age 23 - therefore for me he's a late bloomer regardless of his previous injuries.

Rooney was at that level at 23
Kane was
Defoe was
DCL currently is

None of those took until age 27+ to start looking an all round striker not just in terms of goals but all round play be it movement in the box/ runs off the ball, hold up play etc.
