So he scored most of his goals in the fizzy pop league where Dwight Gayle and Cameron Jerome are made to look like top quality finishers.

Im not arsed if im "WRONG" I dont seek validation on a footie forum to make myself feel good - im just stating an opinion that Danny Ings wasn't scoring 20 goals in the PREMIER LEAGUE or playing in the England seniors at age 23 - therefore for me he's a late bloomer regardless of his previous injuries.

Rooney was at that level at 23
Kane was
Defoe was
DCL currently is

None of those took until age 27+ to start looking an all round striker not just in terms of goals but all round play be it movement in the box/ runs off the ball, hold up play etc.

This your list of players that aren't late bloomers?

Rooney, Englands best ever player.

Kane, englands current best striker

DCL, a lad that hasn't even had one full season operating at the level he's playing at now.

Defoe, who had a 1 in 3 strike rate throughout his career until he was 27 which by your opinion makes him a late bloomer!

So to recap one of your list is the best English footballer possibility ever, one is a world class striker, one is young and showing promise but hasn't done it constantly (one thing that you said make him a late bloomer) and the last is a 1 in 3 striker who didn't become improve on that till he was 27 (again your definition of a late bloomer).

I mean Jesus christ lad you're having a mare here ain't you.

The issue is you may have opinions but you present them as facts which their not as they are provably wrong. Then when pulled up on them you use the old "its my opinion" card. Which is fine but even though everyone is entitled to their opinions it doesn't make the opinion valid or right.

People have the opinion that the world is flat, their wrong but they have that opinion and they are entitled to it. At the end of the day though they are wrong. Just like you are about Danny ings :D

Although I must apologise about the "WRONG!" part of my previous post. That was a bit of a knobish thing to do, so sorry about that.

The stats say it all mate:

2011 - 2015: Burnley: 122 games - 38 goals - 1 goal every 3.5 games roughly

2015 - 2018: RS - 14 games - 3 goals - 1 goal every 4 games roughly

2018- 2019 Saints (Loan) - 24 games - 7 goals 1 goal every 3 games

2019+ Saints - 49 goals - 28 games - 1 goal every 1.5 games

For me its clear as day he's always been at a 1 in 3.5 rate which is slightly above average but from 2019 he's massively improved and is what 28 now? Might be a purple patch but for me his output and all out performances have drastically improved in the last year or two.
