Just to clarify I meant when he plays as the #10 in our 4-2-3-1 he plays so far forward and does so little aside from pop up and score goals and whip in corners that I think he's closer to a forward than a midfielder.

That's actually the system which we should be playing if he plays.

He's looked much poorer on the ball when we've started switching back to that 4-3-3/4-5-1/4-1-5 (whatever random shape it is) in possession.

Still unsure why we switched away from it in the last few games.

If we had a full strength team and two or three core formations, where is our weakest position for each of those formations ?

Improve those first, starting with Carlos most used formation.

I would like a world class goalkeeper if we can, every team that wins seems to have one (the outlier being Leicester) and the one we have isn't good enough imo

In each of the formations we tend to play: 433, 4231, 343 the biggest area of weakness for me is the midfield. We have two midfielders in Allan and Doucoure, if either of them are not fit or in form then central midfield becomes a huge problem in all of these formations. I’d say getting a player who can cover for these two is the priority with hopefully Gbamin also coming back.

Next up would be right wing forward in my eyes although Iwobi had been quite good there in the 4231.

If we could get in two decent players in those positions in January that would be good business.

In the Summer we have to sort the right back issue. Coleman and Kenny are championship standard.

Second only to Siggurdson in being hyped up beyond his abilities. McCarthy carried him in 13/14. You only had to see what happened against Palace as soon as McCarthyw as rested, they just ran all over us. A good player when he was 25 but by the time we had him he was far too slow and once McCarthy got injured the gap between Barry and the other midfielders became huge because he was say so deep to cover his lack of pace.

To be fair I think there’s about 7 Everton fans in the world that rate Sigurdsson.
