Worst performance of the season despite winning... eventually.

A lot of players coming back of injuries like Digne, James, Keane and Iwobi plus players who haven't really had many minutes like Tosun, Olson and Gordon.

It's very clear that we have very little options in midfield and those who are given their opportunity are just not taking them.

Gomes - He hasn't been the same since his injury and I personally think he has a mental barrier against physical teams.

Davies - I am done talking about why he needs to go. Another headless chicken performance which made the midfield panic and left giant gaps.

Coleman - If you looked on the opposite team, they had a young kid running and pressing all game. He was up against Digne (who was playing far too early) and he was easily the best player on the pitch. Even when Nkounkou came on, the pace and movement has gone from Seamus' game and his final ball has always been questionable.

All three have become easy targets because they are the worst. We have to stop being so sentimental with players because it just holds us back.

I hope we have targets in January lined up because we can push ahead this season to.make something but I fear our fitness won't lasted.

Agree. Nkounkou buzzing about the place, pure unfettered pace was nice to see. Understand there needs to be finesse as pace alone not enough in this league

Plenty in here now noticing how bad our options are when a couple of our key players arent playing.
Our 1st choice team will give anyone a game , but start dipping into the bench and we are painfully short.
Iwobi , Davies , Gomes & Tosun need punting asap.
Without DCL , Richy & Allan today we where second best to a piss poor Championship side.
Another forward and a quality winger need to be brought in this window as a priority , its no good calling for the next bright thing of a right back to sign for us.
If these arent addressed and we have similar injuries & suspensions we best get used to what we saw today.
Get some of this dross off the books & bring in a few players of quality or its more of the same .

You'd hope Gbamin but it's a lot to expect from a player who has been out for eighteen months and two major injuries to step right in and bring that. We do need to add one.

We are crying out for more pace in attacking areas and more aggression and another box to box player in midfield. Gomes is a shadow of the player who came on loan whatever the reasons a championship midfield bullied him and Davies today.
