Everton January transfer window 2021

If we get top 4 this would be my semi realistic league contending side for next season:

Pope
Mina - Keane - Godfrey
Traore - Digne
Allan - Doucoure
Lukaku - Richarlison//Hamez
DCL

I would want a Martinez inspired Lukaku to play as our pacey right winger able to cut-in and strike, with Traore on the overlap. Another benefit of Lukaku in this role would enable him to double up as a back-up striker if Dom gets injured, so a shrewd 2 in 1 signing.
This is also the last window where I think it would be smart business to make a move for Gana Gueye, to provide competition/rotation with Allan.

They have some decent young forwards at Salzburg who i wouldn't mind us trying to bring in.
Chan is one, Koita another but my personal choice would be Patson Daka.
Not sure what costs we're talking though.

Was Daka the Haaland replacement?

We supposedly want £8-10m for Kenny, that’s not wholly unreasonable considering we bemoan how the vermin get £20-25m for the likes of Wilson, Brewster et al

I think £10m (the price we are supposed to be asking) is a fair price tbh and in no way daft money

tbf I don't think Kenny is worth 10m.

6/7m I think is a fair price.

Difference is Brewster was highly rated and done well on loan.

Kenny hasn't the same reputation therefore sell him for whatever you get offered same as Delph, Toshun.

Im all for holding out for big sums for players who actually can demand it i.e Kean but not dossers who cant get in the team ahead of a CB playing out of position whilst draining the wage bill.

To get rid of any player there has to be a club wanting him so your example of Kean was right. Now which clubs want the names you mention and others.

We all look at whats 'fair' and can say Kenny seemed to be highly praised at Schalke until they imploded.

Hes also done well for england youth up to u21 level and has the mentality that Dyche would want.

However, how much is he 'worth' to Everton on the pitch...not much looking at how hes been used this season.

His wages gone and a fee of £5-7mil get him out of the door and id say the same about tosun and bernard as well.

£10mil seems a fanciful figure a bit like some posters saying £15-20mil for Davies when newcastle were linked for £12mil.

If we actually sold Davies at £12mil, Kenny for £7mil and Bernard/Tosun for £5mil a piece then we would have £29mil to buy an upgrade on Davies and save a lot in wages.

Yep, let's sign the dominant striker in Italy, from the Champions League bound Serie A title challengers and play him on the right wing.

Also - have you seen the absolute state of Everton playing three at the back?

Problems youve got here are...

1: Lukaku's rep denied those "voodoo" comments (funnily enough Ibrahimovic made them as well) and said Lukaku didnt believe in Moshiris project.

2: Gana is too old now, lets move on.

3: Traore, as in Adama ? No to him...

4: I dont mind 3 at the back, 5 at the back, 2 at the back as long as we win games. However the 4 at the back seems to work for us...also i think we'd need Holgate at RCB as you cant go with both Keane and Mina in a 3, too exposed.

5: James starts on the right.

Pickford
Holgate Keane Mina Godfrey
James Doucoure Allan Digne
DCL Richarlison

We should look at that 11 and be thinking how we can tweak it and also how we can add new players in to improve it.

We would be the first CL team to be relegated from the Premier League with that team.

Well, first of all, you put the best LB in Europe at LB and then take it from there.

How is it in any way semi realistic for Lukaku to come back?

That team is also the most unbalanced thing I've seen in a long time.
