Everton January transfer window 2021

I'd publicly flog him.

Honestly, the bloke really hasn't done himself any favours this window.

There's no valid reason for him to stay on other than continuity.
Haha that or at least subject him to a cersei Lannister style walk of shame.

What was frustrating for me , is through his indifference he squandered his own solid signings in the last window and the team's potential progress. Also I think it's very telling we have no u-23 at the moment who could even slot as reliable squad members.
Before this season started I was ambivalent about him staying. Now I'm ready for him to kick rocks.

I think it’s poor. What about contingency plans? Has he ever considered that? Particularly over Christmas with fixtures injuries are more common. Between windows, contacts should be made, players scouted and enquired about as a back up plan to have something to turn to should things not go to plan.

Tosun leaves in the next 24 hrs, what happens if DCL is hurt or suspended in coming games? It’s things like that that annoy me. I appreciate it’s tough to sell players but this fellas dismissive attitude at times isn’t right.
This was my point precisely in October. No planning at all- in a season where players can miss two weeks or more due to isolation if they test positive, and we have a load of fixture congestion. We also, as of the end of September, knew we had an EFL Cup QF to play around Christmas time too. Again, no forward planning.

It was said by people that know that the club were content with DCL and Richarlison as forward options, knowing that Tosun - a player they wanted out and have wanted out for the last two years - was coming back from injury (a really bad injury) in November. That was the risk they took.

Alarm bells were ringing then for me because we needed a forward anyway and instead just let two go. Which is fine, but there needed to be a replacement who was better than them. Now, we're letting another two go, and our manager doesn't trust the only other attacker we had on the bench today which was Gordon, and after that we literally have nobody.

It's mental, and there has been no mitigation. I said it at the time and have done since, whoever made that decision should have been under massive scrutiny.

Got laughed at on here by a usual suspect when I compared this to the Moyes days in one sense, a top a manger is expected to do wonder with little resources because they’re good.

We have allowed Sam Allardyce £50 Million to spend in January and Marco Silva a heap load of £ as well.

Carlo gets £60 Million over 3 windows.

This isn’t a coincidence either mark my words.

This club is rotten.

I wonder if that is it, we are actually skint again.....

Yes we lack strength in depth and ideally we would bring in a couple of players. We have managed to loan Bolassie out and hopefully Tosun and Bernard will follow. None of them are a loss to the squad.
As to who Brands/Carlo bring in,totally depends on who is available and whether they are the right fit. The money will only be spent if those two things are right. So far they have got it right. Let’s trust them.
Don’t forget that all the players that have left us in the last 12 months have been players that don’t want to be here, apart from youngsters on loan.

Would make no sense especially after Moshiri putting another £250m in. It’s got to be more a wage balance issue, hence why Bolasie has gone and Tosun and Bernard are heading out, that is down to Brands and Walsh before him with giving high wages to average players
nothing average about tosun mate. he is worse than that
