Everton January transfer window 2021

Ancelotti likes to play three up top, this was how we started the season.

At the close of the Summer transfer window we had DCL, Richarlison, Rodriguez and Iwobi as the only player's he consistently considered to play in those roles.

It just wasn't enough to play 20 games before the next opportunity to add to the squad. They've all missed multiple games concurrently through injury or suspension.

It was a big mistake to not get another forward in, I don't have a problem with the two that left being on their way but they should have been replaced. We all saw it.

A pacy forward won't solve all the issues within the squad but it'd give the opposition more to think about.

If we don't bring anyone in in the next two days, it is putting an awful lot of pressure on Ancelotti to get the tactics, team selection & game plan right first time. We've not had a single player come off the bench to score a goal in the league this season and that doesn't look like it'll change when the manager only trusts 14 players. It makes us much easier to play against and it's awfully risky to allow squad players to leave without replacements, especially when we have a good chance - despite today's result - to qualify for Europe.

Got laughed at on here by a usual suspect when I compared this to the Moyes days in one sense, a top a manger is expected to do wonder with little resources because they’re good.

We have allowed Sam Allardyce £50 Million to spend in January and Marco Silva a heap load of £ as well.

Carlo gets £60 Million over 3 windows.

This isn’t a coincidence either mark my words.

This club is rotten.

We do need to add, ultimately today proves Gylfi can't start in CM. Coleman is finished as a right back playing every week. We need another option going forward with pace
