FFP doesn't have a leg to stand on in this covid climate mate, it will be rolled over again and maybe abolished, in my opinion. How could we do that with FFP restrictions, no one wanted to buy the absolute dross on our bench, so where does the finance come from ? We have at the very least lowered our wage bill and brought in an experienced striker/ winger who has what our team desperately needs pace, for very little money on a short term deal.
ok mateHe's improved our options off the bench, it's a squad game mate.
This is just plain silly, no matter who we buy you still need a squadThis isn't a new thing though. This forums been clamouring for King in the summer as well.
If he comes, I hope he does well, but come the summer, we will be stuck with another player we want to upgrade.
You think King is going to win us something?
Well said, I give the club credit for doing a short term deal at least but I'm not inspired by it, I will support him though he's here now.Think some people are being a bit harsh here. I'm happy enough with King but it's not a no brainer. I think he offers us something a bit different to what we had, and fits in to the team set up pretty well, so i'm looking at the positives. I don't think it's ridiculous to say that it's not a good signing or that he doesn't improve the side though. We don't all have to think everything the club does is wonderful.
An you would have signed who???How has he improved the first eleven mate, I'm still waiting.
I hope he genuinely wants to play for us and isn’t just here for a pay day. If it’s the latter he won’t be any more useful than Kean and Walcott
That was my worry. But think given the nature of the 6 month deal he'll be motivated to do well.I hope he genuinely wants to play for us and isn’t just here for a pay day. If it’s the latter he won’t be any more useful than Kean and Walcott
I appreciate the edgy intent in your post mate but I have already said I am not a scout, I don't get paid to go around looking for talent. I could've offered us Josh King at the start of January though, everyone knew he was available but we waited and wasted x amount of games and end up with a striker who hasn't scored a league goal in the division below. An you would have signed who???
Then why did no one buy big this window, most teams seemed to be looking to sell, loan players out. Teams have a lot less money with no crowds, it's biting most teams throughout the world. I would have loved a nice big new shiny striker, so would most of us, hopefully we can get that in the Summer.FFP doesn't have a leg to stand on in this covid climate mate, it will be rolled over again and maybe abolished, in my opinion.
If it's only 6months then that is much better and I can live with that, the thought of him being here in 3 years bothers me greatly.
Definitely and I will happily eat humble pie. Short term deal is what makes this palatableI suppose the way we could look at it mate is that if we offer him a contract at the end of his loan deal then it means he's done really well.
Sorry Mate but “I’m not a scout” doesn’t cut it, you said we wasted our chance so who would you have signed?I appreciate the edgy intent in your post mate but I have already said I am not a scout, I don't get paid to go around looking for talent.
