Everton January transfer window 2021

In the modern game it's so important to have decent full backs, please sign one for the right side early in the window Everton.

Such a damn shame what happened Lucas on the other side but it's not exactly as pressing an issue, when is he due back ?

Coleman was one of our best players when we were playing well earlier in the season, and I thought he was one of the only players in the United game that came out with any credit.

Right back definitely needs someone to phase in though - Kenny doesn’t seem to be the level we need unfortunately.

Seeing how we're not going to land an Oblak, Neuer or Alisson, I think that we're going to accept that a keeper we acquire is going to have some warts.

It might be more productive to discuss which warts are most acceptable, given our defensive liabilities, as a starting point for determining who we should acquire.

Goalkeeping stats are often strongly influenced by the defense; a keeper that is facing mostly shots from range is likely to look better than one whose defense regularly horks up clean looks from six yards out, unless one is very careful about which stats are reviewed.

As an example of a wart I can live with, I don't really care if a keeper coughs up rebounds if he personally corrals them all before an attacking player can touch them. If those rebounds are falling to attackers or to defenders that have to deal with them, those rebounds are potential problems.

He was abysmal for their leveller, so slow getting out for the cross, and then turning his back on it, we still miss him badly due to the fact Kenny is so poor and we're having to put players not familiar with the position instead.

We can't wait for the summer to address this position, it has to be done early in January, those involved in the dealings must now see it as a big mistake not doing it in the window just gone.

Goalkeeper more than any other position is one where you can find quality without being a top side as keepers don't get hurt that much or subbed so no one in his prime is going to a club with an established #1 to be backup. Spurs when they signed Lloris is a good example of this as they were far from the side they are now and Lloris was the France #1 already at that point. We just have to find that right one. Onana is a good pick for me. Donnarumma would be too but if Milan make CL that won't be on.
