We were playing rubbish football for a couple of seasons before we went down. Now we finally have a progressive thinking manager again, the first since Potter. I am willing to bet that within 3 seasons we will be in a better position than you.

As someone who really likes Swansea and has followed them as almost a second club to me. I think your absolutely deluded. Some more pragmatic football would have served Swansea well in their multiple championship play off attempts since their relegation. Now a club as small as Brentford has leapfrogged them in that regard!
What I have seen so far of Rafael has been entertaining enough for me, aka 7 goals in 3 games.

We played horrendous football under Carlo mostly. Now and then we would do a couple of good counter attacks but mostly it was dross.

Possession football is not = entertaining football. It’s just a myth. An unrealistic cult believe that is bound to fail without a team of fantastic passer and dribbler.

there is a reason why Spanish league is one of the lowest scoring leagues and lowest shot at Goal across Europe. The entire league is pack with average players trying to play meaningless possession football.

a team that plays fast football with common sense forward passing can achieve much more with limited players.
Leicester did exactly the same and won the league. A counter attack goal by 3 v 3 or 4 v 4 is just as entertaining as doing 50 passes before scoring a goal.

Alex Ferguson build UTD team base on fast direct counter attack and dominate the league for years. Nobody complained about not being entertained.

It was the worst football I’ve ever seen an Everton team play in my lifetime. Allardyce and Smith was more exciting.
