I think it's really sad that because of certain media outlets people genuinely believe that there is only one way to play football. That keeping the ball and passing it 100 times before having a shot is the only way to play and if you disagree you are branded a "dinosaur".
The great thing about football is that it's about finding a way to win. How a team can be more than the sum of its parts. There are so many ways a manager can choose to set up a team to beat the opposition. As a fan I would rather see my team win a game than only have one style of play, this idea of only having one way of playing may be fine if you are Barcelona or Man city, but the rest of us do better when we have plan A, B and C. Watching your team get battered 5-0 but the manager still persists with playing it out from the back, zonal marking and not closing down, it's excruciating.
