Everton at Leicester City 2016: Live stream, start time, TV Schedule and How to Watch online via Royal Blue Mersey

The Toffees visit the league champions. There's no way this could end poorly.

It's not jealousy exactly, but there is certainly plenty of envy in seeing Leicester City win the Premier League earlier this week. This is a team that came from out of nowhere to climb the mountain top. There were a League One side just seven seasons ago. They were nearly relegated last season. And they had that weird, sex scandal thing over the break. Where did this performance come from?

They took other team's castoffs, bought talent cheaply and resurrected careers. Rest assured, there will be a movie made, and it will be glorious. It's a season that will be tough to replicate. Riyad Mahrez is sure to have a number of suitors during the summer, and so may Jamie Vardy as every club tries to get a piece of the Foxes success. So, on this day, while we at Royal Blue Mersey will still be rooting on Everton, it's tough to not like these LCFC lads.

Leicester City v Everton: Premier League champions’ coronation – live! via The Guardian

4.03pm BST

Evening. I know Leicester City are champions. You know Leicester City are champions. Julian Barnes knows Leicester City are champions. Leicester City know that Leicester City are champions. But, there is still that nagging feeling that it’s been a fantastical Lewis-Carroll-style trip. So, until Wes Morgan gets a steady grip on the Premier League trophy and holds it aloft for all the world to see, let’s take nothing for granted. That joyous moment is due to happen after the match finishes at around 7.30pm BST.

The streets of Leicester are awash with blue. Supporters, who want to witness the moment their team lifts the English top-flight trophy for the first time in the club’s 132-year history, have been partying since Monday night and they’ve ramped it up again as the match against Everton nears.

Jamie Vardy kickstarts Leicester City’s title party by sinking Everton via The Guardian

These are the moments Leicester City’s supporters will never want to forget. They had pined for this day and after all the emotion at the start, the dewy-eyed speech from Claudio Ranieri and the guard of honour that ushered them on to the pitch, this wonderfully enthused collection of unlikely heroes quickly set about showing everyone why they now go by the title of champions of England.

Their only minor disappointment, in all the colour and euphoria, is that Jamie Vardy did not manage a hat-trick to nab the ball as a souvenir and move alongside Harry Kane as the Premier League’s leading scorer. Vardy’s penalty miss felt incongruous to the story of this match, especially as he had scored one eight minutes earlier, but it did not dampen the party too much and it probably sums up the mood that the crowd had been singing for Kasper Schmeichel, the goalkeeper, to take it anyway.
