toffeeusa - I too have V-fios. No word on HD for fox soccer. I occasionally search forums but crickets on the HD. You may get a scroller during games saying that the signal is in HD and to contact our provider if you aren't receiving HD. I have called Verizon, but have been unsuccessful in getting anyone who even gets what I am conveying.

I think the issue is that Verizon may be taking an HD signal and dumbing it down. But regardless, no good news pending on the hd. Worse yet, I am too cheap to pay for Fox Soccer + which I think is in hd. Hacks me off that I when I upgraded to the extreme package, I can now get every NFL game but still can't get FS in hd or FS+ tossed in for free.

TX Tiburon--I've got Fox Soccer Plus, and I can't confirm whether it's in HD or not. It sure looks a hell of a lot better than FSC, but there is no indication that it's HD from Verizon (in terms of it saying so in the guide, etc.) Maybe they don't even know it! :)

When I first signed up for Setanta two years ago, the rep told me it was in HD, and it wasn't. I could barely tell Fellaini from Hibbert. It seems much much clearer now. It was a treat watching the World Cup in HD.

I would have liked to have seen Heitinga's face in HD after his cracker was blocked.

Great new on the Aston Villa game. I missed that one on the FoxSoccer website. Of course, searching their game scheduling is not the most intuitive process...

doesnt look like the united game is being broadcast anywhere. does anybody know a website where i can purchase a one-off match - does espn3, or foxsoccer.tv do that sort of thing?

the match is on my birthday, and i dont really want to wake up at 5am and have to deal with some shitty stream.

New york

I'm in New York on the 25th September, we play Fulham away, is there anywhere in New York I might find the game?

I watched us play Fulham at home in NY. I found a great place to watch it, on your laptop in the hotel WiFi.

Good luck mate and jealous, one of the (if not the) most amazing cities in the world.

Just checked and (unless I missed something) this game isn't on in Canada at all. It's the biggest game of the week despite our slow start (the rest of the "big" clubs are playing smaller teams) but we don't even get a tape delay? Who makes these decisions? Stunned I'm going to have to be watching on a lousy stream.

No ESPN in Canada unfortunately mate. However ... I contacted the guy who runs the "Footie in Canada" site (http://footballtvcanada.blogspot.com/ for anyone else in Canada) and he says the game will probably be aired, they just don't know which channel yet. Fingers crossed I guess.

Update: I emailed Setanta and asked about the game. They said they didn't have the rights to that game so they weren't showing it. Now the Footie on Canadian TV site is saying it will be live on Setanta. Way to communicate your schedule to your paying customers Setanta ... then again nobody ever accused them of being a well-run organization. Still not on the Setanta website either but the bloke who runs the Canada TV site is usually more reliable than the company who actually show the games.
