Everton play like 'Stoke'

'Neville Dives'

Immediately after the game Moyes says that he would be speaking with Neville about it, Neville even said that he got a rollicking and will never do it again. Apologies made public, Moyes states that he will deal with it, which is something he believes all managers should do (A great little dig at Ted Rodgers)

'Suarez dives'

Immediately after the game Ted Rodgers stands their saying he couldn't see it from where he was, but will see it on the replay. Claims that there is a witch hunt and that they are focusing on the wrong part of their game, they passed more than their opponents and possession was higher. Gerrard perpetuates this myth by also claiming they media are "out to get Suarez because they are scared of his ability" and that they are a top 4 side.

can see progress with our team and we play some fine football now alongside the more battling side of our game. That is why the article from Gerrard was so hilarious, saying that it was only Liverpool that tried to play football.

From the Guardian; "Gerrard's comments echo the post-match claims of the manager, Brendan Rodgers, who reverted to a 3‑5‑2 formation in the second half to combat Everton's aerial threat and to play on the counter-attack. Moyes' team dominated after conceding two early goals, though an injury to Kevin Mirallas reduced their threat and Liverpool almost capitalised in a nervous finale, and the match statistics do not support Gerrard's assessment. Everton enjoyed more possession than Liverpool (56.2% to 43.8%), made more passes (400 to 314), had greater passing accuracy (78.5% to 76.8%) and played proportionally fewer long passes (13.8% to 14.6%)".

In fact Mr. Rodgers resorted to 5-3-2 in the second half to counter the threat of Mirallas (who did not come out) and give support to Wisdom who was struggling. It was good tactic for LFC - park the bus and hit Everton on the counter by going long quickly(long ball) to two fast forwards, Sterling and Suarez. It nearly paid off but from a lot of good defending and was a back handed compliment that LFC could not beat us by controlling the game. The park the bus is a recognition that the opposition is superior.

Why Gerrard wants to look a bigger prat than Neville's dive amuses me no end. I can only take this as a compliment for the recognition that Everton out footballed LFC on Sunday and he does not want to accept it, as the facts show Everton out-footballed the supposed ticky tacky beautiful football Rodgers LFC. The only 'Stoke' I saw on Sunday was the alehouse team in Red that used foul means to stamp out one of our threats, Mirallas, and persistently foul Baines.

Mr. Gerrard the facts speak for themselves. Get over it and move on otherwise it just makes you look bitter, classless and a bit of a bungalow.

Clearly wrong these days but yet again it's fine for an LFC wallah to have a dig at us, someone at the club should be giving it back quoting the stats and telling Gerard his sh1t stinks.

Can't be doing with the lack of fight at club level, we're all friendly and supportive and ultra dignified in our non-responses while they have a pop with impunity.

Can't wait for the day when we have a leader who tells them exactly what a heap of sh1te they are, we'll all respond and the players will come out swinging rather than the soiled pants approach of these last 10yrs.

He must read RAWK in his spare time, as that rant is on a par with the deluded shiite that you see those melts produce.

Love the way the media have taken his BS & used cold hard facts to make him look a total tit, that's gonna hurt his massive ego today. Priceless.

His comments about Neville's dive are the words of a bitter, deluded hypocrite of the highest order. Pitiful really.

That's why we call him Xavi Neville.

As a Kopite would say; hes more of an Inestia type player than Xavi.

hahahaha loving these stats; i'm printing them off and sending them to Melwood F.A.O Steven Gerrard.

He's pissed off, hes trying every excuse possible to keep us down and the press are laughing at him by printing the stats

I said to you after the game on Sunday that we needed Moyes to manage the post match narrative or Liverpool would. And they have. They know how to claim a match and use it to their own advantage; Moyes unforgivably bent over for them by not only failing to place the counter narrative that we were booted off the park and not allowed to play, but also by conceding on issues like Suarez's dive and their 'third goal'. You said it doesn't matter. It does.

Moyes hasn't got a ****ing clue how to handle these fixtures. Not one clue. On and off the pitch he's leading us like lambs to the slaughter every time.

I did like the pointed comment in the Independent article about Mirallas being boss until Suarez stamped on him and he had to go off injured. Mis-timed my ar$e.

the goalie was taller than ours there 2 full backs were, the 2 center halfs were , forgot we had 3 big monsters in midfield in osman neville and naismith, ,when you get bitter and twisted players like gerrard who cant do it week in week out anymore on the pitch ,they have to let there mouth go beserk off it , dont worry stevie theres a place in the commentry box waitng for you next to aldo , you can whine the night away together

The media are increasingly onto them. It's boss. What we've known all along.

You can always relay on the independent to give a balanced and accurate view IMO.

Good article in the echo as well. Quotes then Premier League Index stats that would prove Gerrard wrong.

It's a good sign lads. They are rattled. He knows we out played them. He knows they are no longer financial big hitters. He knows that without champions league money every year, that they are gonna struggle to compete.

I'm delighted he's said it. It'll save Moyes having to do a team talk for weeks and just think what stoke will play like the next time they meet.
