Presume with Besic's injury, and McCarthy's fitness also being unreliable, we needed cover for midfieldHoping mcgeady and mcaleny do well and earn summer moves..

All depends on age and development id say.galloway and browning got a shot this year although alot of that was down to injuries to other players.pennington got game time in the fa cup and a few others are impressing on loan so hopfully a few will get a chance to shine in pre seasonSeen Walsh and Ledson have had their loans extended. Walsh has been looking great from what I've seen, how many more seasons till our young players get a chance though?
Here's an article a Yeovil fan wrote https://harrydunford.wordpress.com/2016/02/05/liam-walsh-is-hard-as-fk/
Liam Walsh is hard as [Poor language removed]
When ex-player Darren Way took over the incredulous task of keeping Yeovil Town from a third successive relegation, we understandably questioned whether he was the right man. However, in 2016 we’re in the best form we’ve been in all season and this change in form, in my opinion, is down to two things: Darren Way changing our system to a 4-2-3-1, but also Darren Way bringing in an 18-year-old lad from Everton called Liam Walsh. A quick search of the internet brought up a goal he scored from the halfway line for the U18s against Derby, and another video where he pings some balls through a hoop into the top corner. But to be brutally honest, Yeovil have signed so many youngsters on loan over the years, none of us took much notice of the signing – until we saw him play.
Thrown in at very deep end of League Two, Walshy has started all six games since he joined us, shining in all of them and growing better each week. In the centre of a midfield three he is showing maturity beyond his teenage years; and you’d be forgiven for thinking he was younger than 18 because of his size. He’s more than made up for that however, with his pure tenacity, hunger and technical ability. In our last three league games he has picked up man of the match at home to Crawley, played a delightful pass for an assist away at Wimbledon, and bagged his first goal for us in the most recent trip to Luton. Furthermore, one of the lads who comes to the games took the players for a boxing training session recently and his words after were: “Liam Walsh is hard as [Poor language removed]”. His natural talent has evidently been enhanced by learning his trade through the Everton youth teams, and this combined with his sheer graft and desire to win might be the difference in us staying up or going down.
In the pub after the Wimbledon game we mentioned other loanees that we couldn’t believe we had actually managed to sign, considering what they have gone on to achieve; such as Steven Caulker, Ryan Mason, Andros Townsend and Asmir Begovic. It was in that same breath we realised that we could again be witnessing the development of an impending star. The step up from academy football to football league level is not an easy one, but so far so good for Liam Walsh. If I was an Everton supporter I’d be keeping a close eye on this one for the future.
Although Walsh, Kenny, and Ledson are all 18 , Walsh is the least experienced being a 2nd Year Scholar the other two are a year ahead of him I.e they completed their 2 Scholar years, plus both of them have played regularly for England over the years which adds to their experience. It appears that we don't release many Scholars out on loan, Brewster is the only outfield player I can think of this season , so again it points to Walsh being held in high regard at FF........the indication was that he had attitude to go with real ability and that is turning out to be the case. Whilst size and athleticism are ingredients in the modern game there is also a place for players with a smaller frame, Walsh has got a chance.
