Transfer Rumour Everton poised to make £25m bid for Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney

How much do you reckon he would cost? Players transferring between EPL clubs seem to go for absolutely crazy amounts.
That’s the rub, any player with premier league experience who is better than just decent will be 20m+. That’s why I think we will come back if we really want Tierney. He is no more expensive than a Bertrand type with loads more potential.

The bigger question is if, perhaps after watching Robinson for a week, they have decided to go with he and Baines and deploy the 20-25m toward a different position.

Hope the potential Tierney deal isn’t dead, think he would make a great long-term replacement for Baines. I can see why Celtic fans don’t want to let him go but realistically I think we’d be a good club for him, he’s going to leave at some point so I don’t really understand the sense of injustice if it was us that he left for, perhaps the active Celtic fan in this thread might explain? Also worth mentioning that the last two stand out players in that Scottish League have gone on to have very good campaigns in the Premiership

Didn't your club once have Mike Walker as it's manager?

From Lukaku last summer:

"I dont know what the boards plan is, but there were some players I knew the club could have got and they didnt, and they're playing in this league. I am not saying names, but they are doing well"

We are being duped lads. Guarantee the next season we spend big again is when Pickford goes, as with Stones and Lukaku before him.

I don't see any too much injustice, apart from the fact Sky has completely distorted football by ploughing insane amounts of money into English football. In 2000 when things were a bit fairer regarding TV money, Celtic were able to sign Chris Sutton from Chelsea, and pay him £20,000 a week. Nowadays young players at the top clubs can get that before they've even played a handful of games, and jououtstandinrneymen footballers can earn £60,000 plus a week. That is the only possible thing I could think might be regarded as unfair.

It is what it is however, and Celtic will always have to sell our best players to EPL teams, to help run the club. Celtic fans accept this. Tierney is a cracking player, and I think our fans had hoped to get another couple of seasons from him before he left the club. If he does leave, and I think it looks likely, I wish him the best of luck. He's been an outstanding player for Celtic.

That one from the Raiola arranged behind closed down press conference as they looked to put pressure on the club to sell him in the summer.

Aye.
