At one point, we were a meeting away from signing him. Somewhere in Europe it was, think Monaco. Contract Dave was meant to be there.

Their owner changed his mind at the last minute, again, and said he'd only sell to a club that would be prestigious and look good for his club - then compared us to Stoke.

Better days.

Maybe it was before your days on here, but I was seriously ITK all things Yarmo mate. Kiev accountant, school mate, Kiev journo, was an epic thread!

But yeah, pretty much what you say. The key was the CL group draw iirc. When they drew whoever they did, their nutcase owner wouldnt sanction the sale, but the paperwork was all done at GP.

Anyrate, this thread baffles me. In, Out, £25m too much, lamp £50m at Spurs.

I like Tierney. Think he's class and I'd be delighted if we signed him.

He isn't better than Trippier, who has been one of the most consistent full-back's (even when not a regular at Spurs) in the Premier League in the last four seasons.

I'm not sure it's all that valued like haha but still:

IMO, it feels like gamesmanship on both sides. Everton trying to make Celtic sweat, Celtic trying to see if they can get another side to bow to their demands of asking for a majority of the fee upfront and have us see our arse on the deal.

I'd like us to sign the boy and will hold hope of it until Joyce/Bascombe are briefed otherwise. Until that point, it's all mere speculation.

Even some Celtic fans don't believe the BBC report - apparently, they're banned at Celtic. I don't know for certain on that one.
