If we sign him it will likely be after a few more CL qualifiers. Celtic rely on the dough. I've no idea if this transfer has legs but can't see them selling while so much money is on the line.

A 25m fee for Tierney would be used as the then benchmark others start negotiating with us at fir more established players such as maybe mina, could very well be brands us trying to tie up the deals he can get lowest first mate, in such end would expect any nivecfur Lozano or some such to be the last in the door for that very reason
Celtic are trying to generate interest in the player to get as much for him as they can.
The player or more likely his agent has been contacted by premiership club/s(most likely Everton) and now they want to move to England.
Celtic are happy as long as they get the fee they want but have been offered less and they are probably hawking the player around to see if they can create a market.
They want the biggest fee they can get and are perfectly entitled to try and do so.

Yeah, because Celtic also know that as long as we havent signed another LB yet, they can come back to us in a week and say "Okay, we agree to the 20 million now" or whatever our last offer was. They get some time to shop it around, and as long as they feel confident we arent close to signing someone else, they arent too bothered even if they need to sell him this window.

Watching him pre season then again last night he looks to have developed an extra yard of pace and he's probably only 60% fit just now. Frightening. Absolutely delighted he looks to be staying
